Well, it's been a VERY LONG DAY!!!!!!!!!!! I woke up at 6am and I was very emotional. I did not want to go through with the amnio, but I knew my doctor's would not do anything without it.
They called me at 8:25 and told me they made me an appointment for 10am this morning. So, we rushed and got ready and made it there right at 10. My mama, sister, and Justin went with me. We first did the BPP and she said he had more fluid today, but he was measuring at 32 weeks and 6 days and was approximately 4 lbs and 13 oz. But all of that is just estimations. We won't know for sure until he's born.
Well, we talked to Dr. Haskins and I still didn't like what she said. She basically said my only option (if I wanted him delivered now) was to do the amnio. I cried. I was NOT happy. I finally agreed to do it and it's something I NEVER want to have done ever again in my entire life. I had to lay there while she stuck a needle through my belly and into my uterus to get a sample of what little fluid he has left. Well... the first time she did it she did not get enough fluid so she had to do it a second time. I was SOOO pissed at her. I could have hurt her!!! It hurt so bad. It felt like I was being stabbed with a knife and it was just stuck in my belly. I never want to do that again. EVER.
After that, I had to have an NST done. Basically I just had to sit there and listen to his heart beat.
Finally, we were able to leave around lunch time. They said they would call by 5 and give us the results of the test. If his lungs are mature, then we could have a c-section tomorrow. If not, we had to wait another week.
We went to eat lunch at Cheddar's then we came home. We packed up a lot of our house and things we will need for the next month while our things are in storage.
Finally, around 4:30, my favorite nurse, Stacy, called and told me his lungs are mature and we will be having our baby tomorrow!!!! I am soooo excited! But very scared and nervous too.
We went and ate supper at my Grandma Grace's house tonight. She made fried chicken, macaroni and tomato, biscuits, and chocolate cake! It was yummy!!! Cameron and Bailey are so excited!!!
We have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 11am and we will have the c-section around 1:30pm. But I'm sure it will not be on time. I'm just hoping to have him in my arms by tomorrow night!!!
Can't wait to post pics of our sweet baby Corbin!! :)
