Hospital .....

Well, I went to the dr yesterday and they did an ultrasound. His fluid level was 6.8. (it can range from 5-25 with 5 being the worst). He needs to have a pocket of fluid that is 2x2 and yesterday he did not have that. So, they admitted me in hopes that some IV fluids would increase his levels. We came to L&D and it took 4 nurses and 6 needle sticks to FINALLY get my IV in. It was absolutely horrible! My veins in my hands are so small that they would blow every time. They hooked me up and his heart rate was great. I had another ultrasound done today around 2 pm and his level was at a 4 but he had a 2x3 pocket of fluid. Since he had that pocket, Dr. Avery said I could go home if I wanted to. I was so upset! I REALLY wanted to have Corbin today (or soon) and it really worries me that his fluid is so low. They estimated his weight to be 4 lbs yesterday and 5 lbs today. It can vary bc of the position he is in. If they can't get a good accurate measurement then it can be off by a few ounces. Well, I finally decided I wanted to go home and sleep in my own bed and eat what I wanted so I called the nurse and told her I wanted to go home and not stay. She said ok and she would tell Dr. Avery. Well, a few minutes later he came in and said he talked to Dr. Taft and he wants to keep me bc his level was a 4. So, here I am. Still in the hospital. I am really hoping and praying that dr. Taft will take him tomorrow! Justin has been amazing and hasn't left my side except to get me food. We didn't sleep much last night so we are both exhausted. Our cell phones do not have service in our room but at least we have wifi to keep us occupied. I'm so ready to hold my sweet baby boy in my arms and have all this behind us!!!
