Baby Appointment Update

I went to the doctor yesterday afternoon, thinking it would be a boring appointment because last time, Dr. Gay said he wasn't going to check my cervix at this appointment. Well, Dr. Avery is who I saw yesterday and as soon as I told him I had been having contractions, he immediately wanted to check my cervix again. I was glad because I wanted to make sure it was still okay. She checked it and said it was about the same as two weeks ago. At the shortest, it was 1.6 cm, and at the longest it was 2.0 cm. Dr. Avery was happy about that, but he was worried about the Braxton Hicks contractions. BH contractions are harmless, but if they don't stop, it can lead to full blown labor. So, he gave me a prescription to take if I have more than 6 in one hour. I asked him if it was a big pill, because I can't swallow pills, and he said it was very small, like a Zyrtec and I can chew it if I can't swallow it. Well, when we picked it up, I was pissed. It is a HUGE pill and the bottle clearly says, "Do not chew or break- swallow whole."
Anyway- My blood pressure was 122/82. My heart rate was 88. And my weight was 160. (Got pregnant at 178 lbs.) Last appointment I was 158.
Well, after she checked my cervix, I asked her if I would have anymore u/s to see how big he is because we haven't had any measurements since 17 weeks. She said, not usually, unless they suspect the baby is either too big, or too little. I was kinda disappointed when she said that, because I was curious to see how much he's grown since 17 weeks. (He was 7 oz at 17 weeks)
Well, she surprised us and did a belly scan too and measured him =) He was approximately 1 lb and 11 oz! He's getting so big! He was measuring 5 days behind, but hey, he's still growing!!! We got to see his face and his round head, his big belly, and his legs. He was so cute!!!

Justin leaves in 2 days... I think I'm in denial! I don't want Monday to get here!!! I'm going to miss him so much! He was so sweet this morning. He let me sleep in and he got up and came to the living room and did all the laundry. I was so happy!!! He has to pack today, and I guess it will really hit me when I see all his bags packed and ready to go.
