Had a scare last night

So... I've been really worried that if I start having contractions, I won't feel them or I might think it's just gas or something. Well, last night around 6pm I felt my lower belly get REALLY hard and Corbin got really still. Then it got soft again... about 3 minutes later, it did it again. So, I assumed it was my first contractions I've felt.
 My doctor told me at my last appointment to call if I felt it more than 4 times in one hour. I started keeping track of when I felt them and by 6:30 I had felt 6. I started freaking out! I called the doctor. She said it sounded like Braxton Hicks contractions and I needed to eat, drink water, and lay down. So I did. They slowly went away, but man was I scared!!!!
I have an appointment today, so we will see what he says.
